But first, Davin had a pack meeting where he got a TON of awards from cub scout day camp.  We're very proud of him (if only dad could take a clear picture...)

July 13th and 14th- Aidan's Birthday Weekend

Instead of the usual 12 in 12, we opted to show you the pics from Aidan's bday weekend.  Since this was his 13th birthday, we thought he might want to do something "bigger", and not just hang out with family and cousins.  

He invited 2 friends over for some gifts, 

a nerf gun war, 

pizzas, dessert and mini golf.

Summertime, and the Living is Easy...

Now that the vacation's over, it's time to get back to reality.  Which includes trying to get as much "fun" in before my surgery on the 24th.

This is what happens after only being home from vacation for 2 days, I'm always amazed at how fast they trash their rooms.

Of course it was cut short by an incoming dust storm.

Well, I can fix that with happy hour at Sonic! Take that blowing dust.

Vacation 2013: The Drive Home (day 2)

Day 2 had us driving out across the Kiabab Plateau, absolutely beautiful!

We made sure to stop at Wapatki, and this time we did more than just the main site.

Vacation 2013: The Drive Home (day 1)

One of the two stops on my list for this trip was BYU*, which we hit on our way home.  After stopping to see Grandpa J, we got to the Y with plenty of time to walk around.

They've torn down the SFLC (pronounced syphilis, funny because it was the nursing/family life building), the McKay building (education building) and their lovely quad to put in this newer, bigger McKay building with a very lovely quad.  I had lots of classes at the McKay.

Lucky for us, my buildings were much more interesting than Eric's (even the math building has a super cool stone relief on the entire end of it).  The kids loved the fun things in the Eyering Science Center (a second home for me).

After a few more stops, including the bookstore and Wilk for some ice cream, it was time to head home.

I was only sad we didn't get to hear the Carillon Bell tower.

After a morning at the Y, we made it down to Kanab by dinner time. 

The kids had fun checking out the old west movie set museum.

Vacation 2013: Temple Square

Every year Eric meets up with some good friends for lunch in SLC, and we always tag along to hang out at Temple Square.

I love Temple Square.  This year we also toured the Lion House, Brigham Young's home.
