My football star!

Okay, he's not quite ready for the NFL yet, but Aidan is having fun playing flag football-this is his first time season playing. Here are some pictures from his game last week (Aidan is wearing a yellow shirt and blue shorts with the red stripe)

Hey, where's the Offensive Line?!

Welcome to the World Baby Girl!

Here are some pictures I took last week while taking care of Julie. Here are some funny bits of information: the hospital forgot to remove the cord clamp, we had to do that on Monday; after I corrected Forester on Eme's name (he called her Amy), he went around telling everyone what her name was; Forester became Eme's surrogate big brother for the week, giving her hugs at every opportunity; Aspen's head is about the size of a grapefruit.

After Aspen's first bath, look at those bird legs!

Have you signed up yet?

The Church's family history website, Family Search, has begun a new program, and they are looking for volunteers. Lots of them. Have you ever wondered why Family Search only has three census records available for searching online, even though they are available up through 1930? One of their indexing projects is transcribing those other census records. It is easy to do, and can be done at any time. All it takes is a computer and a few minutes here and there. Check out their website for full information: http://www.familysearchindexing.org It is so worth it, the more people that help, the faster and more efficiently the work can be done.

The Job I Chose

I have been given the wonderful opportunity to interview for not one, but two teaching positions (one for right now, and the other for the fall). Even though I wasn's selected for the first, it lead directly to the second (two of the four interviewers from the first picked me as their first choice for the fall position). After a lot of prayer, fasting, a blessing, and a trip to the temple, I'm turning down the position. It's not for physics, but random science and math classes, maybe physics in 1-2 more years. It just isn't worth putting my family through daycare for something that isn't what I absolutly want to do. But, I was reminded that me being home is, and always has been, my choice. And for that, I am so grateful.

Artists

Aidan: "It's called 'Starry, Starry, Night,' by Aidan Jorgensen and Davin Roberts."
Davin: "Yeah, it's our masterpieces,"
The boys found my squids and rays tesselations, and I am so impressed by Aidan's use of them-the resemblance is wonderful. A print of Van Gogh's "Starry Night" is in our bedroom, but I don't remember telling him the name.

Spring is almost here

Monday, we had a glorious day, we topped out at about 74 degrees. I decided to start my planting now that our freeze danger is over. Davin was my special helper, we spent 3 hours outside doing yard work. We swept all of the rocks off of the patio, dug out my planter boxes (Eric made them last year for Mother's day), and played. After a trip to Home Depot for sand, we were ready to plant my two climbing roses and some snapdragons with alyssium. I'll plant more later, but for now, they have really brightened up my front and back yards.

FHE fun

This isn't the first time that we have done a FHE on putting on the whole armor of God. But it is the first time we've had enough armor for everyone, including Eme. They had fun learning, and the sight of the three of them dressed up made us laugh.
