Every year I make at least one new resolution, and every year I fail to keep most of them. Oh, I start out alright, like most of us do; but then the drive fizzles out sometime in March/April, and I have totally forgotten about them by mid-summer. Granted, by mid-summer cabin fever has set in and I am lucky to remember my own name. But, I have found that if I write them down, somewhere I will see them on a regular basis, I do better. So, I'll post them on my fridge, and on my sidebar, I should see them at least once a day (or more if I've got ice cream), and then remember what I wanted to do to improve myself.
(I'm writting down my fuller versions here, so I can remember them better)
- To workout more regularly (I don't get to push a 70 lb stroller while keeping up with a kid on a bike to and from school anymore-he is in 3rd grade now), I was happy when I was more mobile.
- To keep my scrapbook with no more than a four month backlog (I'm being realistic here, I'm only 9 months behind right now)
- To hold family and personal scripture reading more regularly
- To try one new receipe each week (I've got enough cookbooks, that shouldn't be too much trouble)
- To be more content with where I am in my life right now (I, far too often, think ahead: to when the kids are older, to when I am finally teaching, to when..., to when..., to when...; I need to enjoy the piles of toys and smudges on the TV screen more NOW)

I agree, you think about your goals and most likely will accomplish them if you write them down. We are doing the same thing this year.
It looks like you guys had a nice Christmas holiday, and I love that teeter totter.
Love the comment about the icecream - maybe if I posted my resolutions on the lid I'd see them more often!
You are gorgeous--inside and out. Being mindful of the blessings of the moment is a resolution almost all of us could benefit from.
