Fall Break

Ah, fall break.  It's a week off of school for the kids, which means it's a week of me either entertaining my children, or breaking up their skirmishes.  We hit the dinosaur museum (the AZ Natural History Museum-I highly recommend it).  And since the temps have dropped, finally, we went outside to pan for gold.  Everyone came away with a few "gold" pieces, and soaking wet.

We also went to the zoo with Nana, Ashlee, and Aunt Rachel, along with all of the cousins (plus some of Owen's cousins).  Everyone had a great time, for the first 15 minutes, which is how long it took for Davin to literally run into the snack shack (who leaves doors open like that on a small trail anyway?).  Thankfully I reminded the boys, more than once, to put their hats on.  That had saved him from a much worse gash to the head.  As it was, it was pretty bad (well, that's relative, it was our first head cut, ever), but thanks to some cool headed thinking from his mom and Nana, we were able to get it taken care of quickly.  And after a brief stop at the bathroom to wash up, and pray (Davin's idea, to help him feel better), we were ready to go some more.

We did get to meet the newest additions to the zoo, the Koalas Kobi and Sooki.  Super cute!

And of course, a trip to the zoo isn't complete without a photo session at the waterhole.
