January Happenings

We had some fun in January.  First up, this cutie got a set of braces!

She really was so excited to get them, and was a super huge trooper.  Phase one is the 6 top brackets and an expander-she should be out of them by her birthday.

After!

We also took advantage of MLK day and no school or work by shooting off rockets!!

Davin really has the worst luck with his rockets: he's lost one, one blew up (literally-the engine mount broke loose and the rocket exploded), and then this one went sideways and ended up on top of the school! Thankfully a "wind" blew it down when Eric and I went back to look for it after 10 that night.

And this cute boy decided he wanted to do the school's speech contest.  He researched and wrote a great speech on Douglas MacArthur, all on his own. Next year he wants to start it earlier so he can memorize it too.
