Hey, what happened to my shows?!

I will vent for a moment, I think that Jen would understand. In Arizona (along with Hawaii and Indiana) we do not continue the archaic practice of Daylight Savings Time. And since we don't, I can no longer remember when the rest of you "spring forward"; "fall back" is easy, it correlates with general conference. Now I must remember that Julie is now an hour ahead of me, and that the rest of you are 3 hours ahead. This year we have encountered a new problem: cable TV. This is our first time with cable in AZ, it leaks in for free with our cable internet; as Eric is a fiscal analyst, paying for trivial things like cable just doesn't make sense. Imagine my frustration this morning when we went to turn on Disney and the wrong shows were on. Since it affects all of cable, I now must re-learn when everything is on. Oh well.

My kids are a total wreck with the time change. I am glad in a way though because they are sleeping in, they just don't want to go to bed.

It used to be that the spring forward correlated with General Conference (it was first Sunday in April, last Sunday in October)--but the Energy Policy Act of 2005 gave Congress the right to change the dates. This year we won't fall back until early November. They are going to perform energy consumption studies and decide what they want to do in the future. So, stay tuned....
