I began wondering about this lately. Some of her recent tendencies have borne an uncanny likeness to that nocturnal mammal. For example, racoons are nocturnal; Maddie hasn't slept through the night at all this past week. Racoons have a vice-like grip, once they find something, they won't let go of their treasure; Maddie has got quite the grip, she won't let go of something unless we pry her fingers off of it (I stopped wearing necklaces some time ago, and the hanging on does make it difficult to put her down quickly). Racoons love to get into the trash cans; Maddie is obsessed with the garbage can. She is often pulling herself up next to the kitchen trash (ours has a push top lid) to play with the bag top around the edge; I have to keep the smaller ones up out of her reach if she's in the same room; and then today she knocked the kitchen can over and began playing with the trash inside. This doesn't bode well for the upcoming Christmas tree, I can just see the whole thing being pulled over onto her that first night it's up. Hummm, we'll have to work on a solution for that one-maybe it's time for the baby gates again?

She is getting so big! Brenlee did the same thing with my necklaces - pulled one off & broke it completely! Your Halloween pics were great! You HAVE to post some pictures from the Star Trek exhibition - I've never met any real live "trekies" before!! I want proof!! :)
I think it's definitely time for baby gates--it's the only way to save Christmas!
I love you. She is just curious and determined--both good attributes.
That's so funny! Yes, prepare for the christmas tree!!!
