Every year in Eric's family we draw sibling names for a gift exchange. A few years ago, in an effort to keep us all on an even level with gift giving, Eric's mom laid out some ground rules: the gift needed to fit in the assigned basket (we've done away with that one), it needed to be under $25, and no trading names. For the most part, Eric and I have used our talents, and gave handmade gifts (an afghan, a clock, a wall plaque, an enormous picture frame, a quilt). I was pleased, and even proud, of our works, but the gift I got this year put me in my place. Matt did this video, along with some prints, for me for my gift, this is part of what he does for a living. It was quite the surprise to me, Matt did this when Eric's parents watched the kids when we went to the office party. They tried (unsuccessfully) to get us to leave Maddie too, but we didn't want to burden everyone with the baby (besides, she was our "out" for the party). Matt has promised to get some shots of Maddie for me as soon as we can. Enjoy this for now, we'll post more about Christmas later.
(p.s. make sure your volume is up, or you'll miss half of the fun)
