When you have 3 kids with more toys than you could possibly imagine (all three closets are FULL of storage containers, plus under the beds), and you can't get rid of anything else, you have to get creative with storage. Eme's cradle has been sitting in the corner of our office/craft room (it's the room that was supposed to be the family room) for close to a year while we have debated what to do with it. The situation became more dire after Christmas and the advent of more (lots more) toys. Then Eric had a brilliant idea: use the cradle for a giant stuffed animal toy box. Eme thought that this was a good idea too! It's sad, we have enough stuffed animals to FILL the old cradle (we put more in after we took Eme out).

The problem with stuffed animals is that they NEVER GO AWAY. My girls have been accumulating them for years and can't seem to part with them. I'll let you know when I finally find a solution!
I remember that cradle (now 33 years new) up on the landing full of teddy bears after all the babies had outgrown it. I am glad to see it continue to hold soft, sweet things.
