We have officially bought our first house. We signed all of our papers today-it only took 30 minutes! (I came prepared with a snack-I've heard stories of really long signings) The title company was still missing one document from the seller bank (the HUD papers), and we still must wait for the bank to sign their copies of our papers before we get recorded and are given our keys (this could take a few days). But, still, they have our money, the house is ours. We celebrated by stopping at Home Depot on the way home and finding (and buying) the "right" chandelier for the dining room.
