Last night we went to the circus with Eric's family. And thanks to the stinkers at the state senate, my husband couldn't go, he had to work late, again. We has a fun time with everyone, and boy, were we a crowd! With 8 adults (Eric, Heather, and Rachel all had to work, Ash's friend took Rachel's ticket) and 8 kids under the age of 8, we had our hands very full. I only missed two things because of trips to the bathroom: the 7 motorcycles spinning around the cage (Eme had to go after the first 5), and the trapeeze (Maddie had a blowout). It could have been more, but Aunts and Uncles really stepped up to help me, even with kids of their own. And Brit gets a very special thank you. She organized this whole event for us, and at intermission got our seats moved. We had been on the first row of the second section, with just a very tiny half wall keeping us from falling on top of the people below. I wasn't too worried about the kids, they were too short to ever be in danger of falling. I was, however, terrified that I would drop Maddie as I was getting to my seat. Plus, the air wasn't working right up top. So we got moved down to the first level, at the back. Much cooler, and safer. So here are the pics from the night, enjoy.

Awesome night! What a great bunch of family to help, too. From the looks of it the kids loved it to exhaustion.
