I've been rather busy since we've moved in, the project list seems endless at times. But here are some of my completed projects: roman shades for the dining room, shades and valance for the girls' room (I'm not done with their decorating yet), and the top of Aidan's quilt.
Aidan's quilt top I am most proud of, I designed the patchwork myself. All of the fabrics (except one) are Hawaiian prints-they came from the Kapaia Stitchery on Kauai. If you look carefully, you may be able to tell that the quilt is made up of 5 main rows and 4 main columns. Each row is made up of 4 large sets of blocks, each set is made up of 4 unique 8" blocks, and each block is made up of 1 large square, 4 rectangles, and 4 small squares. I worked hard to ensure that no 8" block used the same fabric twice; and, with the exception of 2 main sets, there is no fabric repetition in the 20 main sets. The effect is what I wanted, wild and crazy, but done in order and exactness. It is hard to really capture the quilt, you'll have to wait until August to really get the full experience (mom invited me to bring it out and use her machine and set up to quilt it.)

I'm glad you're enjoying your projects! The quilt looks great.
You are so amazing! Maybe in August you can bring whatever pattern you used for the shades, they are perfect and my kids' rooms need some too--or maybe I'll just commission you since you are so great.
I'm so excited to finally see the quilt! It is totally amazing.
Lynn, What a colorful quilt and so well thought out with so many different fabrics and from Hawaii. It will look great on the bed. Have fun quilting it. Miss seeing you guys in church sitting just a few rows ahead of us.
By the way, do you still have my genealogy cards. Can I somehow get them from you. Let me know janhartman@cox.net.
