Fall Break, yes it was still 100 degrees...

For fall break this year, we got off to a slow start.  Aidan had a dr appt on Monday (which was also Columbus Day, so Eric was home-bonus!), so we pretty much just stayed home and did nothing.

Tuesday, I took the kids to the zoo, as promised.  They had finally re-opened the trail around the Andean Bears, which made my kids happy because that's where the boa constrictor is too.

They also opened the new Oragutan habitat, it is 3-4 times as large as the old one, at least, with two separate play areas, plus two inside a/c playrooms.  The baby Keisha seemed to enjoy it.

Another fun surprise were these guys: baby Komodo dragons!  There were 6 or 8, not from our pair of Komodo Dragons (they are siblings, so they won't be bred together), but they will call Phoenix their home for the next 6 months.

And of course, no trip to the zoo would be complete without some silly pictures taken down at "the water hole"
