Happy 30th and 26th Birthdays

(yes I know that they were yesterday, but Cox was down doing upgrades)

Happy Birthdays to Julie and Tom! As you can see, we celebrated your birthdays in a special way, but I did think of you later in the evening.

To Julie: I love you dearest. I can't imagine anyone being a better sister/friend than you. I know that we didn't get off to the best start (me screaming and running away at the first sight of you). But I think that we made up for that quickly (I did climb into the crib to snuggle with you). We've had our ups and downs: you stealing my Paddington Bear, until mom bought you your own; me hitting you over the head with a barbie doll, because you didn't believe that my friend's mom hand painted that ornament; you breaking my barbie doll when it hit your head; you scratching my eye, "finger pads before finger nails"; rolling off the bed trying to catch each other after bedtime; Dad coming in to tell us to be quiet and go to bed-Tom banging on the wall every time he heard us whisper at night; joining Girl Scouts together just to go camping. I don't know what I would have done without you by my side all of these years. I hope that you enjoyed your day. I love you with all my heart.

To Tom: Happy Birthday. I was so glad to see you and Heather at Thanksgiving. Thank you so much. Sorry I don’t have any fun anecdotes to share about you. Well, there was the "phantom flusher"... I love you, and I hope that your day was wonderful too.

I love my sister. Sorry that my head broke your barbie doll. :)
Remember hanging a string across the room with sheets on it to try and define our spaces, and melting crayons on the hot-air humidifier when we were sick together?
Actually, given what a horrible mess our room was growing up, despite Mom's best efforts to get us to clean and help us keep it clean, it's a wonder that we've grown up into decently clean, organized people.
Thanks for the love, I send it right back at you. I can't imagine life without you.
