I know that I'm a week and half late in getting this posted. But I think that it's safe to blame Aidan. Prior to the boys leaving, I made sure that Eric's digital camera was fully charged and held a free 1 gb card. The boys returned from camping very smelly with a dead battery and a very full memory card. It turns out that Aidan is a blossoming shutterbug. He took well over 300 pictures. All on Saturday morning too. It fully expired the battery and it took me close to 10 minutes to upload them all. And the good news is, quite a few turned out to be really good shots.

And while the boys were off, I made sure that the girls were nicely entertained. It wasn't going to be a free weekend for me, not with 2 little girls at home with no brothers to play with them. We had pizza rolls for lunch, went shopping (for food), ate pancakes for dinner, watched Momma Mia! (Eme loves it), the girls took an hour long bubble bath (Maddie was only in for 15-20 minutes), ate waffles for breakfast, painted our nails (mani-pedi), hit JoAnn's sale, and ate lunch. The boys came home just as the girls were starting an afternoon movie. It was crazy full, but we had fun.

I love girl time and boy time with kids! It sounds like a weekend of love and yummy treats for the girls!
I love reading your blog--I miss you and your brilliant parenting ideas, and your sweet kids, and Eric is awesome too. I'm so looking forward to August!
Sounds like you all had a lot of fun! So funny that he took 300 pictures in one morning!! :)
