I'll get some pics up soon, sorry I don't have any tonight.
Saturday we got to celebrate our eleventh anniversary. It was a HUGE event that we have been anticipating. Yup, we went out to dinner, without the children. It was bliss, it was our first date out since my birthday, in October. I didn't care where we went (we went to Pei Wei, good food fast), all that mattered was the fact that we got to eat in peace and quiet. No feeding children, breaking up fights, listening to never ending jokes, or begging our kids to please finish their food.
And then afterwards we got to wander around the outdoor mall holding hands instead of pushing a stroller and keeping tabs on the older kids, and going into stores that we couldn't go into with children, and won't be sad if we never step foot in them again.
It has been a great ride, and I am completly and totally in love with my sweet husband. There have been quite a few ups and downs over the years, but, like in all great love stories, the ups have outweighed the downs. I've posted about it before, but so much of our marriage has been about finding those sweet moments together rather than big romantic expressions (hey, since we've had kids, we've never had an evening alone together). I like the quiet times folding laundry or drying dishes, as well as the crazy times playing with our kids. I'm truely grateful for Eric, for all that he is to me, and I look forward to the next set of eleven years too.
(as a post script: Eric got his promotion at work, sans raise-budget crisis and all. He is now an assistant director, or was that assistant to the director? I can never keep that straight. I love him and am so proud of him. Nice job Eric! )

11 years... how did we all the sudden get so old and turn into soccer moms?
Several new pics on my office wall. Thank you sweet girl for posting them and most especially the one of Kathy, You and the Girls, Emmy is reaching out to me welcoming me to join the group in spirit & I did. OK so she is really playing in the water but I can dream, can't I. Love you all very much. NanaBuni
